<p id="index-0">The modules described in this chapter implement various algorithms of a

|
cryptographic nature. They are available at the discretion of the installation.
|
|
|
On Unix systems, the <a class="reference internal" href="crypt.html#module-crypt" title="crypt: The crypt() function used to check Unix passwords. (Unix)"><code class="xref py py-mod docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">crypt</span></code></a> module may also be available.
